Citi appoints Gonzalo Luchetti as APAC and EMEA head of consumer banking

He is former retail banking head for APAC and EMEA since 2015.

Citi has appointed Gonzalo Luchetti as head of consumer banking for Asia Pacific and EMEA where he will be responsible for managing the retail banking, wealth management, and credit card business across 12 markets in APAC in addition to Poland, Russia, UK, UAE, and Bahrain.

A Citi veteran, Luchetti joined the bank in Latin America back in 2006 as head of strategy and finance for Citi Private Bank before he was tapped to head the International Personal Banking for Latin America.

His latest stint saw him take charge of the retail banking arm for APAC and EMEA where his team was able to book a record year in EBIT growth and net new money on the back of double digit growth in clients and asset under management.

Luchetti also served at at JP Morgan Chase in business development for the international financial services division and at Bain & Company.
