Mizuho names new deputy group chief information officers

The appointments are effective 1 April.

Mizuho Financial Group (MHFG) has named three new deputy group chief information officers, effective 1 April.

Hirofumi Aihara, Naohiko Kimura, and Takefumi Yamamoto have been appointed to take up the new roles in MHFG and in Mizuho Bank.

Haruhiko Hashiguchi, who is currently an operating officer of MHFG, has been named deputy chief information officer for Mizuho Trust & Banking Corporation.

Prior to his new role, Aihara is “attached to group chief information officer general manager”, MHFG said in a press release. 

Yamamoto, meanwhile, is the co-general manager of IT & Systems Control Department; whilst Kimura is the operating officer of Mizuho Bank.

Apart from appointing deputy chief information officers, Mizuho Bank and Mizuho Trust and Banking Corporation have also named Hiromichi Shimada as the deputy head of the asset management division, effective 1 April. 

Previously, Shimada was general manager of the asset management coordination department under the two companies.
