StanChart opens 3 new branches in Jakarta
Standard Chartered Bank opened three new branches in Jakarta on Friday as part of its expansion plans.
The branches are located in Kuningan and Permata Hijau in South Jakarta and on Jl. Gajah Mada in Central Jakarta.
SCB Indonesia chief executive officer Tom Aaker said the move was part of the bank’s commitment to improve customer services.
“The opening of these new branches in the capital city is a significant move for us. We will continue to expand our networks in other regions across Indonesia,” Aaker said.
SCB consumer banking chief for Indonesia Sajid Rahman said his company was waiting for approval from Bank Indonesia to open five branches in several other large cities, including Surabaya and Medan, this year.
