HSBC appoints co-heads for commercial banking business in Asia: report
Amanda Murphy will lead South Asia and SEA whilst Frank Fang, the GBA.
HSBC has named two executives, Amanda Murphy and Frank Fang, to jointly lead its Asia Pacific commercial banking business, reported Reuters, based on a statement released by HSBC.
Amanda Murphy, currently the head of its commercial banking business in Britain, will lead commercial banking operations in South and Southeast Asia, and be based in Singapore.
Meanwhile Hong Kong-based Frank Fang, who currently heads commercial banking for Hong Kong and Macau, will continue to lead the businesses in both markets, HSBC said.
Both will report to Barry O'Byrne, Hong Kong-based CEO for HSBC's global commercial banking.
The appointments are effective 1 December.
