Citi nabs BofA, ex-Goldman Sachs’ bankers to boost ANZ markets business
The new senior hires also come from Perennial Partners and MST Financial.
Citi Australia and New Zealand has made seven appointments in its markets business, including four senior hires.
Dan Birch joins Citi as head of markets sales, New Zealand. He has also been appointed as a director. Birch joins from Perennial Partners, where he was head of institutional sales.
Peter Hext, a director, has recently started as head of asset-backed securitisation & financing for Australia and New Zealand. He has been with Citi for over 13 years and was most recently head of commercial asset-backed securitisation in New York.
Ankit Khandelwal is now part of Citi’s G10 Rates Trading team, joining from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Melanie Vandervord joins the access strategies team covering Australia and New Zealand. Vandervord joins from MST Financial, where she was a corporate access specialist. She brings 20 years of experience in corporate access from her time working at Goldman Sachs.
Citi has also welcomed two new appointments in its corporate FX sales team, and a new sales trader to its equities electronic execution team.
