India’s central bank names new executive director
Shri Aviral Jain will look after the legal and premises departments.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed Shri Aviral Jain as executive director, beginning 1 October.
He is tasked with looking after the central bank’s legal department, premises department, and the Right to Information Act (First Appellate Authority), the central bank said in a statement posted on its website.
Prior to his new role, Shri Aviral Jain was regional director for Maharashtra.
He is reported to have over three decades of experience in areas of supervision, currency management, foreign exchange regulation and human resource management, the RBI said.
