Sumitomo Mitsui Card offers 1.98% merchant fees to SMEs

SMEs in Osaka will also be able to avail of an android terminal for free.

Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Card Company is reducing its merchant fees for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to 1.98% until 30 November 2024.

The cash-back campaign for merchant fees is offered under Sumitomo Mitsui Card’s “stera tap” solution, aimed at SMEs.

SMEs in the Osaka Prefecture who have also not yet introduced credit cards are also offered free Android terminals that can use the “stera tap” solution, the company said in a press release announced on its website.

Beginning 1 December, Sumitomo Mitsui Card will begin offering a 1.98% merchant fee for its stera pack solution, in addition to its stera tap solution for SMEs.
