Ant International acquires Dutch payment service provider MultiSafepay
Ant will integrate MultiSafepay into its subsidiary Antom.
Ant International has acquired a new payment service provider from Amsterdam.
Amsterdam-based MultiSafepay is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Ant and will be integrated into the merchant payment service provider Antom. Antom is a payment and digitalisation services provider owned by Ant International.
Established in 1999, MultiSafepay serves merchants with omnichannel payment services connecting over 40 international payment methods, including cards, e-wallets, Buy-Now, Pay-Laters, internet banking, and more. It provides payment solutions to over 18,000 small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Antom, meanwhile, currently supports merchants in over 40 markets and can reportedly accept payments in more than 100 currencies.
MultiSafepay is expected to leverage Antom’s technology and digital capabilities to expand its product offerings and merchant coverage, particularly for SMEs in Europe.
Apart from expanding in Europe, Ant International had also recently inked a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabia to expand in the market.
